What To Do In Denver When You Only Have 1 Day

Posted on September 14 2017

Denver is amazing!  There's so much to do and so many awesome places to see that it's impossible to cover it all.  If you only have 1 day to do it, it can be overwhelming.  Our planners can put together some fantastic plans made for you that save you the time of trying to hunt it all down yourself - especially if you're not familiar with the area.

If I were to do it myself, this is what it would look like:

8 AM - I would start the day in City Park with some breakfast.  My favorite spot - Denver Biscuit Company.  I promise, their food is something you'll be dreaming about for weeks.

10 AM - To get my bearings I would make the short trip over to ScooTours.  David and his team have the inside track on the best places to pop over to.  Whether it's a ride around City Park or a jaunt up to Red Rocks, these guys will find the best route for you to check out the city.

12:30 PM - While here, you have to check out the River North Art District. This revamped area of town has undergone some serious change over the last few years and it's a must on the list to check out.  Pop into the Denver Central Market and take your pick for lunch.  My fave is the ceviche from Silva's but there's something for everyone here.  You might even consider grabbing some baked goods for the morning at Izzio.

3 PM - Axe Throwing!  The newest trend to hit the scene.  The Axe Room is the perfect spot.  Don't worry, it's safe.  These guys keep close to make sure everyone is safe.  They also provide some tips and tricks along the way and mix it up with some competition.

5 PM - Take in the view at one of Denver's best bars, Cooper Lounge.  It overlooks the bustling Union Station.  The perfect place to relax and have some appetizers.

7 PM - Dinner just downstairs.  Mercantile is located inside Union Station and has made headlines for their modern venue and innovative dishes.  Some of the best of Denver here.

9 PM - Time for a nightcap and some relaxation.  The Crimson Room is waiting with it's low lit, romantic ambiance and live jazz.  Check our some of their delish desserts.

11 PM - Not ready to call it a night yet?  Great!  The Green Russell is waiting.  This local fave is hiding on historic Larimer St.  Look for the staircase leading to the pie shop door.

If you can actually make it through all of these stops, I applaud you.  That's no joke.  It's hard to hit everything that makes this city so special.  We debated long and hard before making this list.  If you're feeling overwhelmed or just want something made for you, give us a shout - we have the scoop on all of the best of Denver.
