Guys, let's talk. We know you want the night to be amazing but sometimes...you miss the mark. We know you're busy and decision making after a long day isn't awesome. It's really all about the effort though. Let me give you a hand. Our planners are ready to put together a night she'll never forget, and will make you the hero. We'll handle everything, all you need to do is show up and take the credit.
In the meantime, here are a few things to avoid when it comes to date night.
1. Not Being Present
Leave Your Phone In Your Pocket. There's nothing worse than a guy who keeps staring at his cell phone. We get it, you're super important - so put it away. While you think you can listen to us while scrolling, we don't. Put it away and talk to us. It's super important to us to feel connected. You can't do that unless you're present and engaging in the conversation.
2. Not Having A Plan
There's nothing worse than the "what do you want to do tonight?" question. We don't want to help you answer this. We want you to whisk us away to a whirlwind night full of surprises created to show us a good time. It can be a lot of work but - Hello......there's a whole company to solve this one. It literally couldn't be easier for you. You set the tone for budget and vibe and the rest is taken care of. The perfect date is created and you're left looking like the man.
3. Having The Same Plan
Oh great, dinner and a movie....again. Maybe she does want to go to the same places and do the same things with the same people every day for the rest of her life....maybe not. Take our advice and keep it fresh. Make each night as exciting as when you started dating. Remember that?
4. Not Making Time For Date Night At All
It's easy to get complacent after so much time together but I can't emphasize enough how important date night really is to us. It's a time to connect one on one. We get to forget about being mommy and just think about being your wife....it'll be extra beneficial to you later in the night ;)
5. Making It About You
Ok, so you planned the date. That's awesome. Who did you plan it for? You have to find that perfect mix that keeps everyone happy and entertained. Is it romantic and exciting? It could mean hours spent scouring the internet for that perfect combination but it's worth it in the end.
6. Cheaping Out
Don't get me wrong, you don't have to break the bank to make date night perfect. The trick is to do it without being obviously cheap. Make sure that thoughtfulness overrides cheap. A romantic picnic for example...way better (and more thought out) than a walk around the local park. You can accomplish spending little as long as you up your game in the effort department.
